Directions to Kalela from the direction of Ostrobothnia:

From Ostrobothnia you drive to Kalela through Virrat. 

Continue from Virrat towards Ruovesi (route 66) and drive past the Ruovesi village. 

Ca. 800 meters after the Kautun vuolle bridge turn left towards Pöytäniemi at a crossing marked with signs towards Kalela. 

After the turn you drive 2.8 kilometers ahead until the end of the paved road, where you turn left by the red-painted barn to a country road that leads to the parking lot ca. two hundred meters away.  (The walking distance from the parking lot to Kalela is ca. 200 meters).

Should the weather be rainy, please bring a pair of water-resistant outdoor shoes to make it from the parking lot to the artist’s studio.  We try our best to make your visit as comfortable as possible, but please remember, you are in the Finnish wilderness!
